Views of the surrounding mountain peaks abound, with Ajax to the east and Ballard to the south.
From Muscatel Flats, the Gondola is a 4-block walk, or pick up the free in-town Galloping Goose shuttle at the corner and ride it around to the lifts. The restaurants and shops of historic downtown Telluride are a short walk up the street.
